Volunteers are the core of the IHN program.  There are a variety of volunteer opportunities for the whole family.  The IHN Professional staff provides ongoing training and on-call support to all IHN volunteers. Volunteers provide both practical support and compassionate hospitality for our guest families.

Each Network congregation has a Volunteer Coordinator who oversees the hospitality program within the congregation. This includes planning menus and the recruitment of support volunteers.

Being a volunteer can include:

• Being a good listener

• Helping participants set goals

• Offering supportive ideas on home economics and budgeting

• Supporting young children in school activities

• And much more!
