Just Neighbors Hosts Community Block Party

to Celebrate 25 Years of Service

Just Neighbors Interfaith Homeless Network is excited to invite the community to a free Block Party on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2325 Santa Rosa Drive.

The Block Party marks the organization’s 25th anniversary of serving families experiencing homelessness in Fort Wayne. This family-friendly event will feature free hot dogs, games, prizes, a bounce house, live music by The Love Band, and guided tours of the Just Neighbors family shelter.

“We want to take this opportunity to thank the community for 25 years of support and partnership,” said Shirley Rork, Interim Executive Director. “This celebration is about more than fun—it’s a chance for neighbors to come together, learn about the growing needs in our city, and discover how we can work together to provide shelter and stability for families in crisis.”

Just Neighbors will also highlight upcoming plans to convert a portion of their administrative building into an overnight, low-barrier shelter for families—meeting the increasing demand for emergency housing in our region.

Community members can support the Block Party by attending, spreading the word, or volunteering. Just Neighbors is also looking for sponsors, game attendants, face painters, food and grill helpers, and more.
